PFC Beams

Parallel flange channel, often called a channel or a “C-section”. The measurement is usually show as depth, width and weight per metre in kilograms, eg. 150 x 75 x 18 PFC.

When used for lintels, a bottom plate tends to be welded to it where the outer bricks or 2 channels are bolted back to back with 100 mm spacers to support both leafs of a cavity wall.

PFC beams are typically used for columns, lintels above doors and supporting floor joists.
